We’re looking for a versatile, creative, and hands-on Apparel Production Designer to join our team in Winnipeg. This role blends graphic design, artwork preparation, pre-press production, embroidery digitizing support, and apparel decoration operations. You’ll help transform customer ideas into production-ready artwork while supporting the creation of high-quality decorated apparel.

The Apparel Production Designer will work onsite at our “Home Run Sports” location in Winnipeg (20 De la Seigneurie Blvd, Winnipeg, MB R3X 0E9).

Responsibilities:

Design & Artwork

- Create and modify logos, illustrations, proofs, and mockups for customer approval
- Prepare artwork for embroidery, DTF printing, screen printing, sublimation, heat transfer, and other decoration methods.
- Build production-ready files using Adobe Illustrator and other design software
- Create print ready vector based files in Adobe Illustrator
- Ensure artwork meets customer, vendor, and production specifications
- Maintain organized digital artwork libraries and customer files

Production & Pre-Press

- Prepare artwork and layouts for a variety of production equipment and decoration methods
- Review files for print readiness, quality, accuracy, and colour consistency
- Support day-to-day DTF printing and apparel decoration operations
- Troubleshoot artwork and production issues to maintain workflow efficiency




- Assist with quality control and production support activities

Embroidery Support

- Create and edit embroidery-ready files and artwork
- Work with embroidery operators to improve sew quality and production efficiency
- Adjust artwork, lettering, and layouts to suit garment types and embroidery limitations
- Maintain embroidery files and approved logo libraries

Team Collaboration

- Partner with sales, client success, production, and vendor teams to deliver exceptional customer service
- Help improve workflows, production processes, and design standards
- Other related tasks and duties as assigned

- Robust proficiency with Adobe Illustrator
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Proficient with Mac software is an asset

- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality
- Experience in graphic design, pre-press production, apparel decoration, printing, or embroidery
- Experience preparing artwork for production
- Knowledge of DTF printing, embroidery digitizing, screen printing, sublimation, or heat transfer decoration methods
- Experience with embroidery software such as Wilcom, Hatch, Pulse, Tajima DG or similar
- Experience operating or supporting production equipment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and NetSuite
