Job Title: Solution Architect

Location: REMOTE

Duration: 12 Months

The department responsible for domain strategy and architecture, which is in charge of guiding, governing and overseeing the use of solutions and technologies within specialized business sectors, is currently seeking a domain architecture consultant.

The domain architecture consultant is responsible for the consistency, alignment and evolution of the solution architecture of their domain, in collaboration with the integrator solution architects, business architects and enterprise architects.

Main responsibilities

· Define and maintain the strategic architectural vision for the commercial brokerage domain (according to business, data, application, and technology views) while integrating company priorities.

· Implementing the target IT architecture – Commercial and Brokerage Systems (IT Emphasis)

· Conduct preliminary studies, positioning and design phases, and make appropriate technological recommendations

· Organize, manage and deliver guidance work on specific technical topics requiring consensus from multiple stakeholders

· Oversee the development and evolution of policies, standards, architectural targets, and technological solutions that consider data, application, and infrastructure aspects in support of your unit's strategic projects and initiatives.

· Identify and analyze problems. Highlight key issues. Establish frameworks and make recommendations to the relevant bodies and committees.

· Identify IT opportunities for modernization, simplification, and optimization of your domain

· Mapping the capabilities of one's domain and the trajectories of development based on

· Produce architectural opinions on the solutions proposed by the solution architects

· Participate in architecture governance (reviews, arbitration, prioritization) to ensure that solutions comply with guidelines and standards.

· To act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders.

· Ensure inter-domain consistency and limit technological debt.





· Advising business and IT leaders on key strategic choices (build vs buy, modernization, cloud).

· Facilitating architecture, framing and design workshops.

· To act as an influential leader, without hierarchical authority.

· Describe and popularize the solutions using architectural diagrams and models (ideally in Archimate).

Requirements and qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline

· Eight (8) years of relevant experience

· Technical leadership experience

· Expert-level knowledge of the insurance field.

· Extensive knowledge of the Guidewire Cloud, Majesco, and Sapiens ecosystems

· Knowledge of Guidewire 's "Advance Product Designer" is an asset

· Expertise in large-scale assessment of the implementation and migration of insurance products.

· General Insurance IT ecosystem (EIS, Kafka, etc.) is an asset

· Expertise in writing executive-level documents.

· Expertise in profit analysis and ROI calculation.

· Expertise in enterprise architecture (TOGAF or equivalent approach).

· Capability modeling, target architectures, roadmaps.

· Mastery of integration, data and modern architecture concepts.

· Excellent command of integrations (APIs, events, interoperability), data and their governance, modern architectures (cloud, hybrid, service-oriented).

· Understanding of agile, product and scaled environments.

· Architecture governance and decision-making processes.

· ArchiMate modeling language and conceptual modeling tools (Asset).

· Solid focus on value creation and simplification.

· Experience in a regulated environment (a major asset in insurance).

· Leadership, systems thinking and the ability to synthesize information.

· Excellent communication and popularization skills.

· Ability to navigate complexity and to influence positively.

Pay: $70.00-$75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
