Production Purchaser and Receiver

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Purchaser and Receiver to support purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and packaging operations within our production facility. This position plays an important role in ensuring materials are available when needed and inventory records remain accurate.

Key Responsibilities

- Order and receive packaging and production supplies.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Maintain accurate inventory and receiving records.
- Monitor inventory levels and help prevent material shortages.
- Complete regular inventory counts and submit required reports.
- Ensure materials are properly labelled, stored, and organized.
- Supply packaging materials to production areas as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient storage area.
- Monitor product and material quality and report concerns.
- Follow food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety requirements.
- Assist with training employees on applicable procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in purchasing, receiving, inventory control, warehousing, or production is preferred.




- Experience working in a food production environment is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using computers and inventory-management systems.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and accuracy.

Work Workplace

- Indoor food-production environment.
- Exposure to poultry-related odours.
- Role may require standing, walking, lifting, and moving supplies.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.

Compensation

- Salary: $24.00 per hour
- Hours: Approximately 37–42 hours per week
- Work location: In person
