Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Zamboni Driver to join our team. This role is responsible for operating the ice resurfacing machine and ensuring the rink is maintained in top condition for games, practices, and events.

This position may be required to work out of our North York location (1107 Finch Ave W) or our Thornhill location (130 Racco Pkwy).

Responsibilities:

- Completes daily operational and safety checks, and maintains as necessary: refrigeration plant and related equipment, heating system, water heaters, fire extinguishers, interior and emergency exit lights, freezers and appliances, and P.A. system;
- Maintains ice surface and surrounding area including: installation preparation, edging, scraping and flooding prior to scheduled usage, fences, ice surface boards and glass, paint lines, goal lights, switches, sports timer and nets, and assisting with ice making and removal;
- Performs Daily circle checks on ice resurfacing equipment including blade changes as required
- Completes operational log of refrigeration plant at two (2) hour intervals;
- Performs maintenance duties,



including sweeping seating area; garbage and recycling collection as necessary
- Responds to inquiries from the general public, community groups and program participants related to facility operations;

Requirements:

- Previous Zamboni or ice resurfacing experience is an asset (training can be provided)
- Ability to work evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Solid attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Must be reliable and punctual
