We are recruiting an experienced Industrial Pipefitter for hands-on work supporting the build, installation and tryout of specialized machinery.
This role focuses on pneumatic and hydraulic systems and is best suited to someone with industrial pipefitting experience in a machine tool or similar equipment-build environment. You should be comfortable working from drawings, installing components, troubleshooting systems and working independently as part of a skilled trades team.
What you'll be doing
- Install, test and verify pneumatic and hydraulic components on specialized machinery
- Work from pneumatic and fluid-system drawings, customer specifications and safety requirements
- Troubleshoot piping, pneumatic and hydraulic issues during machine tryout and debugging
- Organize materials required for installation and assembly work
- Provide technical guidance to apprentices when required
- Assist with equipment installation at customer locations as needed
What we're looking for
- Solid industrial pipefitting experience, ideally within machine tool or specialized equipment builds
- 5+ years of industrial pipefitting experience,
or completion of an Industrial Pipefitter apprenticeship program
- Strong ability to read and interpret pneumatic and fluid-system drawings
- Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Own basic trade tools, including pipe wrenches, wrenches, level, tape measure, Allen wrenches, cordless drill and socket set
Safety requirements
- Lockout / Tagout certification is required. If your certification is not current, training may be available for an otherwise qualified candidate.
- Safety footwear, safety glasses and a bump cap are required.
- Hearing protection may be required depending on the work area.
Compensation and schedule
- $25-$35/hour based on relevant experience
- Day shift: 7AM-3:30PM
- 6-9 month contract with potential for extension
