About RV SnapPad

RV SnapPad makes the world’s only permanent jack pad. Since launching in 2016, we have helped RV owners across North America and Europe make their RV experience safer, more stable, and more convenient.

We are expanding our product ecosystem beyond our core SnapPad products, creating current opportunities to build longer-lasting customer relationships, increase repeat purchase rate, and provide more value throughout the RV ownership journey.

We are hiring a full-time Retention Marketing Specialist to own and grow our email and SMS marketing programs.

The Role

This is a hands-on role for a lifecycle marketer who can combine strategy, analysis, campaign planning, flow management, copy direction, segmentation, and day-to-day execution.

You will be responsible for turning our email and SMS channels into stronger drivers of both new customer acquisition and 90-day lifetime value, without relying only on offers and discounts. You will need to understand how to keep RV SnapPad top of mind with non-purchasers, while increasing next purchase intent and loyalty with existing customers.

Sustainable growth will require tactical segmentation, lifecycle journey mapping, healthy list hygiene, value-driven campaigns, and a deeper understanding of what moves our customers toward their first or next purchase.

You will have meaningful ownership of the retention function and the opportunity to shape how RV SnapPad communicates with customers throughout their lifecycle.

What You’ll Own: Email and SMS strategy

- Build and manage our email and SMS strategy in support of revenue, first-purchase conversion, repeat purchasing, and 90-day customer lifetime value.
- Develop an appropriate communication cadence across campaigns, automated flows, product launches, seasonal moments, and promotional periods.
- Create distinct lifecycle strategies for prospects, new customers, repeat customers, high-value customers, and disengaged subscribers.
- Balance short-term revenue generation with long-term engagement, deliverability, and brand equity.
- Identify opportunities to grow retention revenue without becoming overly dependent on discounts and offers.

Campaign planning and execution

- Own the email and SMS campaign calendar from planning through deployment and reporting.
- Develop campaigns that educate, entertain, build product understanding, address purchasing barriers, and keep RV SnapPad top of mind.
- Create briefs and messaging angles based on key personas, seasonality, product use cases, and business priorities.
- Coordinate campaign copy, creative, links, targeting, quality assurance, scheduling, and deployment.
- Partner with internal creative, content, and growth stakeholders to bring campaigns to life.
- Build product launch and cross-sell campaigns that introduce customers to RV SnapPad’s growing product ecosystem.

Lifecycle flows and automation

Audit, maintain, and improve foundational Klaviyo flows, including:

- Welcome and lead-nurture flows
- Browse-abandonment flows
- Cart- and checkout-abandonment flows
- Post-purchase education
- Product-specific cross-sell flows
- Review and referral requests
- VIP list building
- Win-back and reactivation flows
- Back-in-stock and price-drop notifications
- Sunset and suppression flows

- Develop post-purchase journeys designed to increase next-purchase intent and brand loyalty/advocacy.
- Adapt messaging and recommended products based on purchase history, product compatibility, customer lifecycle stage, and engagement.
- Continually test flow timing, message sequencing, content, offers, and channel mix.

Segmentation and personalization

- Segment subscribers based on factors such as engagement, purchase history, product ownership, lifecycle stage, browsing behaviour, order value, and likely next purchase.
- Identify high-intent prospects and valuable customer cohorts for more focused communication.
- Use customer and behavioural data to improve personalization across email and SMS.
- Bring brand halos and user education to the forefront of our messaging.

List growth, health, and deliverability

- Grow RV SnapPad’s email and SMS audiences through on-site capture, campaign-specific acquisition, checkout opt-ins, and customer touchpoints.
- Test forms, messaging, incentives, targeting rules, and capture experiences to improve signup rates and subscriber quality.
- Maintain strong list hygiene through engagement monitoring, suppression, sunset programs, and regular list maintenance.
- Monitor deliverability, unsubscribe rates, spam complaints, bounce rates, consent practices, and sender reputation.
- Ensure email and SMS practices comply with applicable requirements, including CASL and relevant US regulations.

Measurement and optimization

Build clear reporting for email and SMS performance across campaigns, flows, audiences, and lifecycle stages. Track performance using metrics such as:

- Email and SMS revenue
- Flow and campaign revenue
- First-purchase conversion
- Repeat purchase rate
- 30-60-90-day LTV
- Revenue per recipient
- Signup and opt-in rates
- Click and conversion rates
- Unsubscribe and complaint rates
- Deliverability and engaged-list growth
- Email and SMS attributed revenue
- Evaluate performance beyond platform-reported revenue, recognizing that attribution alone does not necessarily represent incremental impact.
- Establish a structured testing roadmap for subject lines, messaging, creative, segmentation, send timing, capture forms, flows, and offers.
- Translate performance data into clear recommendations and next actions.
- Share regular reporting on results, learnings, risks, and growth opportunities.

What Success Looks Like

During your first year, you will be expected to:

- Build a clear, measurable retention strategy for email and SMS.
- Establish a consistent campaign and testing cadence.
- Improve RV SnapPad’s foundational automated flows.
- Create stronger nurture journeys for prospects who are not ready to purchase immediately.
- Build post-purchase journeys as targeted cross-sell opportunities.
- Grow the number of engaged and marketable email and SMS subscribers.

- Improve first-purchase conversion and 90-day customer LTV.
- Protect list health and deliverability as send volume and revenue grow.
- Make meaningful progress toward doubling annual email and SMS revenue without relying primarily on heavier discounting.

What We’re Looking For

- At least 2+ years of hands-on experience in email, SMS, lifecycle, or retention marketing.
- Direct experience managing email marketing for a Shopify ecommerce brand.
- Strong working knowledge of Klaviyo and email marketing platforms, including campaigns, flows, segmentation, forms, reporting, and deliverability.
- Experience building and optimizing foundational ecommerce lifecycle flows.
- A practical understanding of list growth, list hygiene, consent, suppression, and engagement management.
- Experience using segmentation and personalization to improve relevance and performance.
- Strong campaign-planning and project-management skills.
- Comfort interpreting ecommerce and retention data and turning it into action.
- Strong copy judgment and an understanding of what makes customers open, click, consider, and purchase.
- The ability to manage both strategy and execution without requiring a large supporting team.
- Clear written communication and strong attention to detail.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday on a schedule aligned with typical North American business hours.

Especially Valuable

- Experience marketing products with longer consideration cycles.
- Experience with durable goods, automotive, outdoor, camping, RV, or enthusiast-driven categories.
- Experience building cross-sell strategies across complementary products.
- Working knowledge of SMS compliance in both Canada and the United States.

The Kind of Person Who Will Thrive Here

You are commercially minded, curious, and comfortable taking ownership. You care about revenue, but you also understand that repeatedly mailing discounts to the same customers is not a durable retention strategy.

You want to understand why customers buy, why they hesitate, what they need after purchasing, and what might bring them back. You are willing to question weak assumptions, dig into performance data, and test better approaches.

You can move between strategic planning and detailed execution. One day you may be mapping a 90-day customer journey. The next, you may be building segments, reviewing campaign copy, wireframing a new email design, troubleshooting a flow, or analyzing why a test underperformed.

RV SnapPad is a rapidly evolving, category-defining brand. We’re looking for an ambitious individual to help us get to the next stage of growth.
