Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Landscape & Hardscape Foreman / Lead Hand on behalf of our client, a growing landscape and construction company based in Prince Edward Island.

This is an excellent prospect for an experienced working foreman or strong lead hand who wants greater ownership, strong earning potential, and room to grow. Relocation and rotational schedules are both possible, and company housing is available at a modest rental rate.

Our client specializes in high-end residential outdoor spaces, including complete backyard transformations, pools, natural stone, pavers, retaining walls, and steps. Projects frequently range from $200,000 to $600,000 and require exceptional workmanship and a high level of client service. The company also completes commercial concrete and sitework projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role. The successful candidate will work alongside the crew while taking ownership of the project - planning the work, leading the team, managing the schedule and budget, communicating with clients when needed, and delivering a finished product they are proud to put their name on.

What you’ll be doing:

- Lead landscape and hardscape projects from site preparation through to completion
- Work alongside the crew while setting expectations, maintaining productivity, and keeping the team motivated
- Plan daily activities and ensure the crew has the materials, equipment, and information needed to work efficiently
- Complete high-quality hardscape installations, including pavers, retaining walls, natural stone, steps, grading, and full outdoor builds
- Read plans, establish layouts and grades, and ensure work meets the company’s quality standards
- Estimate and monitor labour hours, materials, schedules, and job budgets
- Operate excavators,



skid steers, and other job-site equipment
- Identify potential delays or problems and take action to keep projects moving
- Communicate professionally with clients and provide a high level of service
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site
- Coach and support crew members through hands-on leadership and clear communication
- Take responsibility for the quality and successful completion of each project

What we’re looking for:

- Experience in landscape construction, hardscaping, concrete, sitework, or a related field
- Previous experience as a working foreman, lead hand, crew leader, or senior team member is strongly preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of hardscape construction, including layout, grades, pavers, retaining walls, steps, and natural stone
- Experience operating an excavator and skid steer
- Ability to read plans and understand labour, material, scheduling, and budget requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to set the pace and bring a crew together
- A hands-on attitude and willingness to work directly alongside the team
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- High level of accountability and pride in producing exceptional work
- Flexible, team-oriented approach and the ability to adapt to changing project needs
