WHY WE MAY NOT BE A OUTSTANDING FIT FOR YOU:

- Unpredictable schedule: Client needs change weekly, and so may your schedule (no guaranteed hours per day/week).
- Your shifts may take a few months to fill up.
- Weather preparedness: We work rain, shine or snow!
- Travel: You need to drive to clients’ homes for pet care services.
- Poop: Literally. You may have to clean up, ahem, messy situations.
- Emergencies: Pet emergencies can occur (you’ll receive training, don’t worry).

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must love animals and enjoy time outdoors
- 18+ and pass a background check
- Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Live in Orangeville, Ontario
- Willing to travel within a 10 km radium of home




- Own a smartphone (preferably with unlimited data/texting/calling)
- Comfortable handling pets of all shapes and sizes (sometimes dogs who pull a bit)
- Comfortable and prepared to walk (and drive) in all weather conditions
- Willingness to be trained in other areas (like admin work, meet & greets, and marketing)
- Able to commit to position for minimum of six months from hiring date
- Available for some midday hours (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and maybe some morning hours as well, 2-5 days a week (we are willing to work with the right candidate if your availability falls outside these hours).

**We are looking for someone that can work set days and times of the week (we like consistency! And any extra availability is a bonus)**

HOURLY/PAY RATE:

- Starting wage: 18.25$/hour for new employees for first 3 months, including ~33 hours of training (online and in person)
- Raises $ can occur when a team member advances to a new role, with additional annual raises with great performance reviews..
- Opportunities to grow within the company - apply for team lead, team trainer, or admin roles after 3 months with higher pay and added responsibility.​
- Mileage reimbursed at standard per-kilometre rate
- Clients love to tip a job well done!
- Earn a $10 bonus for every pet sitting client you refer who completes their first visit, and a $30 bonus for every dog walking client you refer who completes their first week of walks.

- Biota employees make on average between 20-23$/hour when factoring in mileage, tips, bonuses, etc. (and possibly even higher! $/hr)
