B.J. Normand Ltd. is looking for an experienced Drywall Estimator to join our team. We are looking for someone who is eager to gain more experience in drywall, acoustic ceilings, office fit-ups and becoming a key member of our team.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

- Review project plans, requirements and specifications
- Prepare take-off and cost estimates of materials, labour and equipment for the ICI sector.
- Coordinate price packages with suppliers, sub-contractors, owners, designers and architects regarding tenders.
- MUST be able to perform full estimating from take-off to closing tenders
- Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and sub-contractors.
- Prepare and maintain a valuable relationship with suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors
- Conduct material and equipment purchasing for secured jobs.

- Participate in tender review
- Negotiating terms of agreement/ contract / schedule with project manager
- Complete submittals with project manager
- Organize job start up meeting with site super/ G.C. to review scope of work




- Assist project manager to order materials, equipment, engineering if required
- Analyze the project and mitigate risk
- Price change orders and understand the impact on the scope
- Ensure accounting is in line with project

Requirements

- Min 5 years experience on projects ranging up to $5 million.
- Self-motivated individual able to work with deadlines.
- College Diploma or University Degree (preferred)
- Candidate must be proficient using MS applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with Onscreen/Quick bid as an asset.
- Bilingual is an asset
- Must have a vehicle for use during the day.
- Drywall Construction experience required.
