CandorBuild is hiring experienced Carpenters for construction work in the Creighton, Saskatchewan and Flin Flon, Manitoba area.

We are a Saskatchewan-based general contractor completing commercial, institutional, healthcare and community projects across the Prairies. While this position will initially be based on our project in the Creighton and Flin Flon area, we hope to find carpenters who will become long-term members of the CandorBuild team and continue with us on future projects.

Successful candidates will bring practical construction experience, a strong commitment to safety and pride in the quality of their work. We are seeking Journeyperson Carpenters or individuals with equivalent carpentry experience who are confident working from construction drawings and completing a variety of commercial carpentry scopes.

What You'll Do

As a Carpenter with CandorBuild, you'll work alongside our Site Superintendent and construction crew on a variety of scopes throughout the project. Responsibilities may include:

- Perform general carpentry work including forming, framing and finishing
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications and details
- Complete layout and measurements based on construction drawings
- Prepare materials and work areas for installation
- Install blocking, backing, framing, doors, hardware, finishes and other building components as required
- Complete concrete forming and related carpentry scopes
- Complete demolition, modifications and general construction work as required
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools and construction equipment
- Work collaboratively with Site Superintendents,



other carpenters, labourers and subcontractors
- Assist with material handling, site organization and other project requirements as needed
- Maintain an organized and safe work area
- Follow project-specific and company safety requirements
- Participate in daily hazard assessments and site safety activities
- Complete work accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

What We're Looking For

This position is intended for Journeyperson Carpenters or individuals with equivalent practical carpentry experience. Commercial construction experience is strongly preferred.

Successful candidates should have:

- Journeyperson Carpenter certification or equivalent carpentry experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and details
- Experience with forming, framing, finishing and general commercial carpentry
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and tools
- Ability to accurately measure, layout and complete work from construction drawings
- Robust attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction crew
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take direction and adapt to changing project needs




- Willingness to contribute to the crew and continue developing their skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to perform physically demanding construction work
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's licence
- Ability to work in the Creighton, SK and Flin Flon, MB area
