Hiring Counterbalance and reach operator in Vaughan

Shift: 8 am - 5:30pm

Paid: $19.5/hour paid bi weekly

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Counterbalance and Reach Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks to efficiently handle, organize, and move inventory throughout the warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse distribution processes will ensure smooth operations, accurate order picking, and timely shipments. This position offers an exciting prospect to contribute to a well-organized logistics environment while developing your mechanical knowledge and forklift skills.

Duties

- Safely operate counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Conduct precise order picking using reach trucks and order pickers to fulfill customer orders efficiently
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update stock records accurately
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to safety protocols for manual handling when necessary
- Assist in organizing storage areas, stacking pallets,



and maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as clamp trucks and forklifts to ensure proper functioning
- Support inventory audits by counting stock, verifying product locations, and reporting discrepancies

Requirements

- Proven experience operating counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks in a warehouse setting
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and order picking procedures
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with forklift maintenance is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is preferred
- Valid certification for forklift operation; additional certifications such as clamp truck operation are advantageous
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow safety instructions diligently
