Job Duties:

- Operational Planning & Execution: Plan, direct, and evaluate the overall daily operations of the Southeast Asian fast-casual hawker eatery, establishing production timetables to support high-turnover lunch and dinner services.
- Staff Management & Scheduling: Manage front-of-house service staff and back-of-house kitchen crew, establish work schedules, assign specific line duties, and lead daily pre-shift briefings to ensure rapid order fulfillment.
- Staff Recruitment & Development: Address staffing requirements by actively recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and conducting performance reviews for line cooks, cashier-counter staff, and dishwashers.
- Inventory & Supplier Sourcing: Determine weekly inventory and dry goods requirements, inspect incoming deliveries, and negotiate with specialty suppliers to procure authentic Southeast Asian spices, pastes, fresh herbs, and specialty packaging materials.
- Cost Control & Financial Monitoring: Plan departmental budgets, monitor daily and weekly sales revenues,



and systematically analyze food and labor cost percentages to minimize waste and optimize operating margins.
- Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce rigorous food safety, sanitation, and kitchen line procedures in strict accordance with Vancouver Coastal Health regulations and WorkSafeBC standards.
- Menu Development & Marketing: Collaborate on the development of seasonal hawker-style set menus, feature specials, and promotions, while monitoring online delivery platform performance (e.g., UberEats, DoorDash) to maximize off-premise sales volume.
- Customer Service & Operational Problem Resolution: Evaluate customer service standards, resolve patron feedback and order discrepancies promptly, and manage rapid kitchen workflow adjustments during peak Cambie corridor rush hours

Pay: $38.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
