Floral Acres is a growing retail garden centre with departments in plants (annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, trees and shrubs, tropical plants), gardening supplies garden/specialty furniture and accessories, landscape supplies, home décor, jewelry and unique gift-ware.

The incumbent will be responsible for leading and conducting garden centre operations under the direction of the General Manager, Retail Manager and Assistant Retail Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Garden Centre Supervisor you will be assigned a main area of responsibility and will be crossed trained in all departments to allow for flexing as the business needs flex through out the seasons. Training will begin in your main areas and cross training in other areas will follow. Plant knowledge is an asset. The applicant must be proficient is using computors

- Must provide excellent customer service to all customers entering the garden centre, providing product knowledge and assistance as they need.
- Manage the customer flow during busy periods to ensure a fast, efficient enjoyable customer experience.
- Keeps up to date with in-store promotions, in-store programs, and product locations.
- Work with other team members across departments to create and maintain inspirational, eye-catching displays and end caps designed to inspire our guests with creative ideas for their indoor/home and outdoor/garden spaces.
- Ensure Loss prevention Policy and procedures are trained and followed.
- Ensure health and safety policy and procedures are adhered to.
- Keeps the garden centre neat and tidy (empty trash,



stock supplies, dust/wipe/sweep daily.

- Operation of POS systems and frontline management to ensure a friendly, fast, efficient customer shopping experience.
- Provide back up for On line ordering system (Shopify) when needed.
- Loss prevention management through weekly cycle counts and yearly inventory as well as ensuring procedures are followed for adjustments.
- Receiving plant inventory daily during spring summer seasons.
- Help with receiving plants, hardgoods and trees as needed
- Provide training and coaching for employees working in your area.
