Mustang Freightways Ltd. is looking for an experienced PM Operations Supervisor to lead our evening dock and outbound linehaul operation.

This is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for the overall safety, service, freight quality, productivity, staffing, and execution of the PM shift. You’ll lead the dock operation, coordinate outbound linehaul activity, direct employees and drivers, and make sure freight moves safely, accurately, and on schedule.

We’re looking for someone who can take control of a busy shift, establish clear priorities, hold people accountable, and solve operational problems before they turn into service failures.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

As PM Supervisor, you will:

- Lead and oversee PM dock and outbound linehaul operations.
- Direct the Dock Foreman, Lead Hands, dock employees, dispatch employees, and linehaul drivers.
- Plan linehaul loads and coordinate trailer loading, freight flow, labour deployment, and departure readiness.
- Ensure outbound freight is accurate, properly routed, securely loaded, documented, and ready for safe transport.
- Monitor trailer progress and linehaul departures and take corrective action when service is at risk.
- Track dock productivity, labour utilization, overtime, mis-ships, damages, freight exceptions, and other operational KPIs.
- Manage employee schedules and adjust labour assignments to match freight volumes and service requirements.
- Coach employees, set clear expectations, document performance concerns, and participate in formal performance management when required.
- Ensure employees follow company policies, safe work practices, PPE requirements, freight-handling standards, and equipment procedures.




- Oversee employee training and ensure required training documentation is completed.
- Coordinate with drivers, dispatch, customer service, other terminals, and management to keep freight moving and resolve operational issues.
- Complete required shift reporting, operational updates, and exception reporting.
- Support freight handling and equipment operation when required to maintain service.

The PM Supervisor owns overall shift execution, including safety, service, quality, productivity, staffing control, freight and load quality, employee performance, training follow-up, and timely escalation of significant issues.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a warehouse, dock, transportation, dispatch, or similar operational environment.
- Transportation or LTL experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of freight movement, shipping and receiving, trailer loading, load securement, damage prevention, scheduling,



and dock operations.
- Demonstrated ability to plan work, prioritize competing demands, direct employees, and make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain composed when priorities change.
- Solid computer skills; experience with Outlook, Excel, Word, AS400, scanning technology, or transportation operating systems is an asset.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, accountability, and a team-oriented leadership approach.

Working Environment

This position works in both office and active dock/yard environments. The role involves regular walking and standing in dock and yard areas and exposure to vehicle traffic, moving equipment, varying temperatures, noise, dust, and changing weather conditions.

Candidates must be capable of lifting or moving freight up to 50 lbs independently, with heavier freight handled using team-lift methods or mechanical assistance. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, overtime, or adjusted hours may be required based on operational needs.
