Job Summary
Women’s Contact Society is seeking a professional, organized and compassionate Navigator / Receptionist to join our team.
As the first point of contact for WCS, you will provide a welcoming and professional reception experience while helping clients identify and connect with the appropriate WCS program, staff member or community resource.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is confident handling sensitive information and can stay calm and organized in a busy environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors and provide professional reception services.
- Answer, screen and direct telephone calls and general inquiries.
- Assist clients in navigating WCS programs and community resources.
- Complete basic intake and referral processes.
- Schedule appointments and assist with office coordination.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client and administrative records.
- Monitor general email and office communications.
- Complete data entry and other administrative duties.
- Recognize urgent situations and follow WCS procedures for appropriate response.
- Maintain a professional, organized and welcoming reception area.
- Work collaboratively with WCS staff while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
What You Bring
- Experience in reception, administration, customer service, community services or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to remain calm and respectful in challenging situations.
- Strong computer and administrative skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in a legal, social-service, non-profit or community-service environment is an asset. Knowledge of local community resources is also an asset.
