Volvo Cars Oakville is seeking an experienced, driven, and customer-focused Sales Manager to lead our sales team and continue delivering an exceptional luxury automotive experience. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the sales department, including team development, sales performance, customer satisfaction, inventory management, and the execution of Volvo's retail standards.

This individual will play a key role in driving dealership growth while fostering a culture centered around professionalism, transparency, innovation, and customer care.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

- Lead, coach, motivate, and develop a team of Sales Consultants.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, training sessions, and one-on-one coaching meetings.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent.
- Create a positive, accountable, and high-performing sales culture.

Sales Performance & Profitability

- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators including volume, gross profit, closing ratios, lead conversion, and customer retention.
- Manage sales processes to maximize profitability while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with Finance & Insurance and Fixed Operations teams to support overall dealership performance.

Customer Experience

- Ensure every customer receives a premium, personalized buying experience consistent with Volvo's brand values.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
- Monitor customer satisfaction scores and implement continuous improvement initiatives.




- Support the dealership's reputation through proactive customer engagement and relationship building.

Inventory & Market Management

- Collaborate with dealership leadership to manage new and pre-owned vehicle inventory.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and sales opportunities.
- Ensure appropriate inventory mix to meet customer demand and sales objectives.
- Support vehicle merchandising and showroom presentation standards.

Marketing & Community Engagement

- Partner with the marketing team on promotional campaigns, events, and lead-generation initiatives.
- Participate in community events and dealership-hosted experiences to strengthen brand awareness.
- Champion Volvo's electrification strategy and educate customers on EV ownership and perks.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3–5 years of automotive sales management experience.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
- Experience with CRM systems, lead management, and digital retailing tools.
- Strong understanding of finance, leasing, and automotive sales processes.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

- Luxury automotive experience preferred.
- Experience with electric vehicle sales and customer education.
- Familiarity with Reynolds & Reynolds, VinSolutions, or similar dealership management systems.
- OMVIC certification (or ability to obtain).

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
