Production Planner – custom signage

Innovative Signage in Burnaby is an industry leader in manufacturing high quality custom signage for residential, commercial, retail and industrial establishments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

· Schedules & organizes due dates for production with a Master Production Schedule and routing jobs through the Fabrication, Vinyl and Finishing departments

· Helps establish and ensure adherence to goals, schedules and priorities set for the Production department

· Works closely with Purchaser and out-sourcing person to ensure Materials and out-sourced products are in shop when needed to keep to schedules.

· Layout of Bill of Materials for jobs in accordance with Design & Production Sheets

· Reviews work orders and accompanying materials, ensuring all information is present/obtained from the Sales/PM/Design departments as needed

· Works with Production & Install Departments to establish priorities & due dates of various projects and adjusts daily for any changes and creates Exception Reports as needed.

· Ensures along with the Production Department Supervisors that customer specifications are met/exceeded upon completion of the production process

· Works with design dept.

The ideal candidate will have:

· Experience with interpreting design and technical drawings

· Strong computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook

· Knowledge of Access, Power Point, ERP/MRP graphics software and CAD is a definite asset

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail

· Exceptional ability to maintain schedules and meet established deadlines

· Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills

You will ideally have working experience in an Foreman, lead hand or supervisor role within the Signage/Manufacturing/Fabrication/Construction or Printing industries for a minimum of one year.
