**Reach Truck and Order Picker Operator (Night Shift)**

**Job Description:**

This role involves operating reach trucks and order pickers in a busy plumbing distribution center, primarily working in the pipeyard to handle materials, pick orders, and support inventory and packing activities while following strict safety standards.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Operate reach trucks and order pickers safely and efficiently within a busy plumbing distribution environment.
+ Spend the majority of the shift on material handling equipment while remaining comfortable performing physical work as needed.
+ Work in the pipeyard to handle pipes and related materials, ensuring accurate and efficient movement of goods.
+ Use RF scanners to pick, pack, and process orders with a high level of accuracy.
+ Follow all safety standards and procedures, including proper use of harnesses and other safety equipment.
+ Perform general warehouse duties such as inventory support, packing, and general labor tasks as required.
+ Handle materials and products, including lifting items weighing 50 pounds or more.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the distribution center.
+ Collaborate with team members and follow instructions from supervisors to meet operational goals and productivity targets.

**Essential Skills:**

+ Minimum 2+ years of experience operating material handling equipment such as reach trucks or counterbalance forklifts.
+ Minimum 2+ years of warehouse forklift experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
+ Proficiency using RF scanners for picking, inventory, and packing tasks.
+ Ability to lift and safely handle items weighing 50 pounds or more.
+ Experience with order picking, material handling, and general warehouse operations.
+ Strong adherence to safety procedures, including use of harnesses and other protective equipment.
+ Comfort working primarily on material handling equipment with some physical labor as part of daily duties.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**

+ Combilift experience is a nice-to-have and considered an asset.
+ Experience in inventory, picking, packing, and general labor within a warehouse or distribution setting.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
+ Reliable, safety-focused work habits and attention to detail in handling materials and orders.

**Work Environment:**





+ The role is based in a distribution center, with most work performed in the pipe yard using material handling equipment such as reach trucks and order pickers.
+ **The position is on the night (3rd) shift, working from 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.**
+ Team members work in an active warehouse setting that involves regular lifting of 50 pounds or more and adherence to safety standards, including the use of harnesses and other protective equipment.
+ The environment supports physical activity, offers an on-site gym, and requires appropriate warehouse attire suitable for a busy, hands-on distribution operation.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodbridge, ON.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.11 - $24.11/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
