**Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate**

**Job Description**

We are currently hiring a **Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate** to join a busy distribution warehouse team.

In this role, you will be responsible for order picking, shipping, receiving, inventory replenishment, and material handling in a fast-paced workplace.

The position includes both indoor warehouse work and outdoor yard work, handling products that range from small fixtures and components to larger, bulkier materials.

The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, physically capable, and eager to contribute to a team-oriented workplace with long-term growth opportunities.

**Responsibilities**

+ Accurately process incoming and outgoing shipments within the shipping and receiving department.
+ Pick customer orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
+ Build, stack, wrap, and secure pallets for shipment.
+ Load and unload trailers while ensuring product accuracy and safe handling practices.
+ Verify incoming shipments and report discrepancies when required.
+ Perform order picking and material handling throughout the warehouse and outdoor yard areas.
+ Replenish inventory locations and maintain stock availability.
+ Assist with inventory control activities and cycle counts.
+ Operate material handling equipment such as reach forklifts and power pallet jacks when qualified and authorized.
+ Lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
+ Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
+ Demonstrate initiative by identifying productive tasks during slower periods.
+ Contribute positively to a professional and team-focused workplace culture.

**Required Qualifications**

+ Minimum 1 year of shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse environment.
+ Minimum 1 year of order picking experience using pick lists, RF scanners, or related technology.
+ At least 1 year of general warehouse experience.
+ Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
+ Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
+ Experience with inventory handling and material movement.
+ Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
+ Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Professional attitude and excellent attendance record.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience operating a Raymond Reach forklift.
+ Experience using power pallet jacks.
+ Valid forklift certification.
+ Experience in a building materials, distribution, industrial supply, or similar warehouse environment.
+ Experience handling products of varying sizes and weights.
+ Strong communication and teamwork skills.




+ Flexibility to work varying start times and occasional overtime as required.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB.

**Pay and Perks**
The pay range for this position is $19.23 - $20.48/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Calgary,AB.
