General Labourer – Skilled Trades Opportunity

Fire Line Group Ltd. is looking for a hardworking, dependable General Labourer to join our growing team.

This isn't just a general labour position. You'll work alongside our welders, heavy-duty mechanics and machinists, gaining hands-on experience across multiple skilled trades while helping keep our shop and customer projects moving.

For the right person, this position can provide a pathway into an apprenticeship in welding, heavy-duty mechanics or machining as your skills, knowledge and experience develop.

We're looking for someone who isn't afraid of hard work, takes initiative, works safely and wants to learn. Previous experience is an asset, but attitude, reliability and mechanical aptitude are just as important to us.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our shop team, you'll:

- Assist welders, mechanics and machinists with day-to-day projects
- Prepare steel and other materials by measuring, cutting, grinding and cleaning
- Assist with fabrication, assembly and basic fitting
- Operate hand tools, power tools and shop equipment under supervision
- Help move equipment, parts and materials safely throughout the shop
- Pick up and deliver parts, tools and supplies as required
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment
- Keep work areas clean, organized and safe
- Use our shop software to track tasks and time and communicate with the team
- Take on additional responsibilities as your skills and experience grow

What We're Looking For

You don't need to know everything when you walk through the door. We're looking for someone who wants to learn and is willing to put in the work.

The right candidate will have:

- A valid Class 5 driver's licence
- A strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Mechanical aptitude and an interest in working with your hands
- A willingness to learn from experienced tradespeople
- The ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Positive communication and teamwork skills
- The physical ability to lift,



carry and work on your feet throughout the day

Previous experience in welding, mechanical repair, machining, farming, construction or another hands-on environment is an asset, but we're willing to train the right person.

About Fire Line Group

Fire Line Group Ltd. is a family-owned company located just south of Dauphin, Manitoba. We provide welding and fabrication, heavy-duty mechanical repair and machining services to customers throughout the Parkland and surrounding area.

We are a CWB Division 2 certified company and hold Manitoba quality assurance certification for pressure welding. Our team works on a wide variety of agricultural, commercial, industrial and heavy-equipment projects.
