Youth Curling Coordinator

Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club | 2026–2027 Season

Part-Time | 8–15 hours per week | $17–$22/hour

The Opportunity

Do you love curling and enjoy working with kids? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organized Youth Curling Coordinator to help lead and grow our youth curling program.

You’ll create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where young curlers can learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy the sport. This is a great opportunity to combine your passion for curling with making a positive impact in our community.

Responsibilities

- Plan and coordinate weekly youth curling programs.
- Develop engaging lessons for beginner and intermediate curlers.
- Recruit and supervise volunteer instructors.
- Communicate with parents and guardians.
- Organize fun events, mini-bonspiels, and year-end activities.
- Promote youth curling through schools and the local community.
- Work with the Club Board to grow youth participation.
- Assist with registration, program evaluation, and year-end reporting.




- Ensure programming follows applicable Safe Sport policies.

Qualifications

- Experience working with children and youth.
- Curling experience as a player, instructor, or coach.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and with volunteers.
- A positive, energetic, and approachable personality.

Required Before Employment

- Valid Respect in Sport – Activity Leader certification.
- Current Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC) or Criminal Record Check.
- Annual Screening Disclosure.
- Agreement to follow the “Rule of Two” and all applicable Protected Sport policies.
