Role Description

Create Career College is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Part-Time Evening French Instructor to teach adult learners preparing for the TEF Canada and TCF Canada examinations.

Classes are delivered in person from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on weekday evenings. The successful candidate will provide engaging, structured instruction focused on developing students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills toward CLB 7/B2 proficiency or higher.

This position is ideal for an instructor who understands the TEF/TCF examination formats, enjoys working with adult and international learners, and can create a supportive and motivating classroom workplace.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Key Responsibilities
- Prepare students for the TEF Canada and TCF Canada examinations, with instruction focused on the competencies required to achieve CLB 7/B2 or higher.
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured French lessons based on the approved curriculum and course learning objectives.
- Teach and develop students’ French listening, speaking, reading, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and writing skills.
- Familiarize students with TEF/TCF examination formats, assessment criteria, timing, strategies, and common question types.
- Provide targeted practice, mock examinations, and constructive feedback to help students improve their performance.
- Prepare quizzes, tests, assignments, and other learning activities as required.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate attendance, grades, and academic records.




- Complete marking and submit grade books and other required documents on time.
- Identify students who require additional support and recommend appropriate learning strategies.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, respectful, and motivating classroom
- Accommodate different cultural backgrounds, language levels, and adult learning styles.
- Communicate professionally with students and CCC’s academic and administrative teams.
- Follow CCC’s academic policies, curriculum requirements, and instructional standards.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, Linguistics, Modern Languages, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of French-language teaching experience, preferably with adult learners.
- Fluency in both French and English.
- Strong understanding of French grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and written and oral communication.
- Excellent communication, organization, classroom-management, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural educational environment.
- Sensitivity to the educational needs of adult, immigrant, and international learners.
- Ability to teach in person during weekday evenings from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Compensation:

- Vacation pay will be provided after completing 30 working days.
