EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Position: FOOD SERVICE SUPERVISOR (Out of Scope)
Facility: Lamont Health Care Centre
Status: Permanent Full-Time

Position Summary: The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a multi-level food
service department serving a population consisting of Acute Care, Long Term Care and Assisted Living
patients / residents. The preferred candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in the Food Service
Industry (preferably Health), have an excellent understanding of accommodation and accreditation
standards.

Reporting to: Director of Care

Qualifications:
• Post Secondary or Food Handling Certification Required.

- On-the-job training is provided but 5 years’ related experience is preferred.

- Previous experience in a Unionized environment as asset.

- Knowledge of LTC & Supportive Living Accommodation Standards.

- Connect Care Training preferred.

- Knowledge of Menu Planning & Diet Terminology an asset.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills including interdepartmental





- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

- Must be a team player and conduct himself/herself in a skilled manner.

- Ability to adhere to the Health Care Centre’s Mission and Philosophy.

Hours: Monday-Friday/ 7.75 hours per day

Salary: Out of scope- as per the LHCC pay grid placement to be determined based on experience.
