About the Role

Best Brains Cooksville is seeking a certified teacher to teach French to students in Grades 1–8 enrolled in French Immersion. We are looking for a patient, engaging educator who can strengthen students’ language skills and build their confidence.

Curriculum and lesson plans will be provided.

Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging French lessons using the provided curriculum and lesson plans.
- Develop students’ reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, speaking and listening skills.
- Adapt teaching methods to students’ ages, abilities and learning needs.
- Encourage students to communicate confidently in French through discussion and interactive activities.
- Review student work, monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate students’ progress and areas for improvement to parents and centre management.
- Maintain a positive, organized and inclusive learning workplace.

Qualifications





- Valid teaching certification required; Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification preferred.
- Excellent spoken and written French.
- Experience teaching elementary French Immersion students.
- Familiarity with the Ontario French Immersion curriculum.
- Ability to engage young learners and explain concepts clearly.
- Strong communication, organization and classroom management skills.
- Reliable availability for in-person teaching on weekday evenings.
