Job Summary:

Fosters a positive learning environment. Encourages all learners to set their own goals. Individualizes materials to help learners achieve their goals. Maintains an up-to-date online Learner Registry. Completes monthly attendance and monthly report documents as required by supervisor and referring agencies. Establishes relationships with learners and gives ongoing support. Ensures learners are learning at their level and progressing towards completing their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Delivers and facilitates adult learning to help learners achieve goals, follows the curriculum, and uses the suggested resources to meet curriculum objectives. Provides positive guidance and encouragement both academically and emotionally. Establishes relationships/rapport with learners.

· Corrects daily work and plans learner evaluation reports.

· Ongoing assessments of learner's progress throughout learner's stay in the program.

· Administration – Intake and end assessments, recruitment, maintaining learner files, responding to telephone and email daily, weekly attendance reports and e-registry, monthly reports, tidying, cleaning, and maintaining work site/class locations, and other duties as necessary or assigned.





Qualifications:

· Minimum level of education required: Bachelor of Education Degree or a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline plus an Adult Education Certificate. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

· Minimum number of years of relevant work experience required: 3 years experience facilitating training with adults; consideration will be given to those who have experience facilitating training with adult education.

· Ability to facilitate both individual and group learning. Ability to use various teaching/learning strategies to engage learners with diverse learning needs and styles.

· Required technical qualifications: Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word & Excel), experience working with online databases an asset.

· Strong Math skills required.

The wage range is $18.47– $24.24/hour - dependent upon experience and credentials.
