Position Overview

We are in search of one outstanding individual to join our team as a Companion/Caregiver with the intent to Supervise and lead. This role is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to be part of a vision. As a Caregiver/Companion, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Most of our clients do not require medical or personal care services; instead, they benefit from companionship, support, and the dignity of independence.

Responsibilities

- Provide companionship and support to seniors in their daily lives.
- Uphold the standards and values of My Aide In Life with warmth and professionalism.
- Assist clients in maintaining independence and dignity through relationship-based care.
- Participate in training and development to learn company standards and practices.
- Able to be flexible and provide housecleaning services or yardwork in one shift to companionship in the next.
- Physically able to lift, pull, bend and stand for up to 6 hours a day.

Qualifications

- Experience in home care, caregiving,



hospitality or customer service is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years with hands-on experience leading and supervising a team of no more than 10 people at a time.
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to forecast needs and provide proactive insight into safety issues.
- Ability to assist clients with mobility and physical tasks.
- Own and operate a vehicle with a minimum of 2M insurance coverage
- First Aid certification is a plus.
- Vulnerability & Police check is mandatory once hired.
- 3 Professional references available upon interview
- 2 Personal references upon interview

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week

- Do you have a class 5 driver's licence, and able to transport clients?
- This can be very labor intensive, and you must be willing and capable of helping with housework, yardwork, deep cleaning; all of which requires lifting, bending, pulling and twisting. Are you 100% comfortable with doing all of that on top of regular caregiving tasks?
