About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Licensed General Maintenance Specialist to join our Maintenance/Facilities team in a 24/7 GMP manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on, multi-trade position responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliable operation of our buildings, facilities, utilities, and industrial infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a recognized trade certificate or technical designation and 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys working across multiple systems and wants to apply their technical expertise in a modern industrial facility.

What You’ll Do

- Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on building, facility, and utility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems within your qualifications and scope of work.
- Maintain and support critical industrial utilities, including:
- Industrial boilers and high-pressure steam systems
- Central refrigeration systems and chillers
- HVAC and air handling units
- Pumps, motors, valves, piping, and other mechanical systems
- Fire protection systems
- Plumbing and water systems
- Electrical distribution and lighting
- Building automation and energy management systems
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and identify potential equipment or facility issues before they become failures.
- Respond to equipment and facility emergencies, including occasional after-hours call-ins.
- Assist with facility upgrades, installations, renovations, and improvement projects.
- Coordinate with and support external contractors and service providers.
- Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, inspections, and equipment documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and facility performance.

GMP, Safety & Compliance

Because we operate in a GMP-regulated manufacturing workplace, the successful candidate must understand and consistently follow GMP requirements.

You will be expected to:

- Follow all applicable GMP, health and safety, sanitation, hygiene, gowning, and contamination-control requirements.




- Perform maintenance activities in a manner that protects product quality and prevents contamination.
- Properly control tools, parts, lubricants, and other maintenance materials entering production areas.
- Follow applicable Lockout/Tagout, confined space, hot work, electrical safety, fall protection, and other safe work procedures.
- Accurately complete required GMP and maintenance documentation.
- Promptly report safety hazards, equipment deficiencies, GMP concerns, contamination risks, and conditions that may affect product quality or facility operations.
- Participate in required inspections, audits, training, and regulatory compliance activities.

What You Bring

Required

- 3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, commercial, institutional, or facilities workplace.
- A recognized trade certificate, license, or technical designation relevant to the position, such as:
- 306A – Plumber
- 309A – Construction & Maintenance Electrician
- 442A – Industrial Electrician
- 313A – Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic
- Gas Technician 2 (G2)
- Building Environmental Systems (BES) Certificate or equivalent
- Fourth Class Power Engineer / Operating Engineer
- 433A – Industrial Mechanic Millwright, where compensation expectations align with the position
- Other recognized and relevant trade certifications may be considered.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requirements.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, GMP, and preventative maintenance.
- Ability and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to occasional after-hours emergencies.

Strongly Preferred

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment involving:





- Industrial boilers and high-pressure steam systems
- Central refrigeration plants and chillers
- HVAC and air handling systems
- Industrial utility infrastructure
- Fire protection systems
- Building automation and energy management systems
- Industrial electrical systems
- Plumbing and water systems
- Pumps, motors, valves, and piping

Working Environment

This position works within an active industrial manufacturing facility and may involve exposure to machinery, noise, heat, cold, dust, chemicals, elevated temperatures, and other manufacturing-related conditions.

The role may require climbing ladders, working from elevated platforms, accessing mechanical areas, and performing physical maintenance activities including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.

All required PPE and safety procedures must be followed.

Compensation: $62,500 to $80,000 annually.

Salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate's trade certification, qualifications, experience, and technical expertise.

Pay: $30.00-$38.50 per hour
