We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator/Project Manager to join our corrugated sheet converting plant. This role is responsible for preparing accurate product cost estimates, managing customer projects, and coordinating manufacturing activities from quotation through production and delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of corrugated converting operations. Your expertise will directly contribute to profitability, customer satisfaction, and the successful execution of packaging projects.

Duties

- Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for corrugated packaging products based on customer specifications, materials, labor, machine requirements, and production processes.
- Review customer drawings, specifications, artwork, and packaging requirements to determine manufacturing feasibility and optimal production methods.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to obtain pricing, clarify requirements, and negotiate favorable terms.
- Develop project timelines and coordinate activities from order entry through production and final shipment.
- Work closely with sales, customer service, scheduling, purchasing, production, and quality teams to ensure project requirements are effectively communicated and executed.
- Coordinate tooling requirements, including dies, printing plates, and other production-related materials.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain production schedules and customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of quotations,



production costs, change requests, and project documentation.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve profitability.

Experience

- Proven experience in estimating, project management, production planning, or customer service within a corrugated sheet converting, packaging, printing, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of corrugated board grades, converting processes, die-cutting, flexographic printing, folding, gluing, and packaging production.
- Ability to read and interpret structural packaging drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Proficiency with estimating software, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and other business applications.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a quick-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of material utilization, costing methods, production efficiencies, and quality standards within the corrugated industry is highly desirable.
