Job Summary
Topaz Transportation Ltd. is a growing long-haul trucking company based in Delta, BC. We specialize in reliable, on-time freight delivery across Western, Central and Eastern Canada. We are currently looking for experienced team drivers to join our fleet and run consistent, high-mileage routes, driving a 2023 Kenworth T680 or newer. The routes will run from Delta, BC to Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario.

$0.28 per mile is for starting and experienced drivers is $0.30 per mile.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle reliability
- Assist with freight handling, securing loads, and ensuring cargo integrity during transit
- Follow company policies for safety, hours of service, and transportation regulations
- Operate a semi-truck safely and efficiently as part of a team driving unit




- Transport freight between BC, Manitoba, and Ontario
- Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD compliant)
- 80%-90% pin to pin work

Requirements

- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License (Canada)
- Minimum 1 year of verified Class 1 driving experience
- Clean driving abstract (no major violations)
- Criminal record check required
- Must be medically fit to drive (able to pass DOT medical if required)
- Experience with long-haul and winter driving conditions preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team (2 drivers)
- Strong understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
- Must comply with drug test if asked.
- Must be Canadian, PR or Open Work Permit
