Duties

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning to identify therapy needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that align with patient goals, medical conditions, and best practices in occupational therapy.
- Deliver targeted therapy sessions focusing on improving patient mobility, coordination, daily living skills, and overall independence.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, social workers, and case managers to coordinate care plans.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment outcomes, and session notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety precautions for ongoing support.




- Stay current with advances in occupational therapy practices by participating in ongoing professional development activities.

Skills

- Proven experience working in hospital settings with diverse patient populations.
- Strong case management skills to coordinate care effectively across multiple disciplines.
- Experience providing occupational therapy services to pediatric patients with developmental or neurological challenges.
- Excellent patient care abilities with a compassionate approach to supporting individuals through recovery or adaptation processes.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to healthcare environments and therapeutic interventions.
- Prior acute care experience demonstrating the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced medical settings.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients.

Pay: $80.00-$150.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 3.0 per week
