Forklift Operator – Counterbalance Electric – working in a freezer – Temp to Perm

About Our Client

Our client is a manufacturer of pork and beef products located in the Vancouver area, and they are growing and growing. They are looking for team focused individuals to work with them on a temp to perm assignment. This is a cold working environment but a warm hearted company.

What You Will Be Doing, as a Warehouse Operator (Freezer):

- 50% Forklift Stand Up Counterbalance Electric/ 50% Manual Material Handling and order picking
- Pick orders from the Freezer with F/L Electric Counterbalance and allocate them to the production and warehouse areas
- Load and Unload Trailers
- Pick orders for direct shipment with forklift
- RF Scanners
- Data Entry – Basic
- Other duties as assigned.

Freezer = negative 18 degrees

What You Should Have, a Warehouse Operator (Freezer):

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role preferably in a freezer
- A valid 3rd party Forklift Counterbalance Electric license
- Attention to detail.
- Good verbal communication
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must pass a criminal background check.

In Return, You Will Receive:

- $23/hour, Paid weekly, every Friday.1 week behind
- Opportunity for permanent hire
- 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends

The Shift You Will be Working is:

- Monday to Friday
- 2 opening s for - D - 7am to 4pm - (1/2 hour unpaid lunch)
- 1 opening for - D - 8am to 5pm - (1/2 hour unpaid lunch)




- 2 openings for D- 4am to 1pm - (1/2 hour unpaid lunch) NOTE - this shift must train for 1 week for 5pm to 2am with the night shift
- Overtime after 42 hours
