Performance Engineer:
On behalf of our banking client, Procom is searching for a Performance Engineer for a 1-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.
Performance Engineer - Job Description:
This role involves supporting various projects across the enterprise, primarily focusing on enhancing application performance. The successful candidates will be backfilling positions within a large team, contributing to long-term, impactful projects for the bank.
Performance Engineer - Responsibilities:
- Conduct end-to-end performance engineering activities including requirement gathering, planning, scripting, execution, analysis, troubleshooting, tuning, and reporting.
- Develop and execute performance testing scripts and scenarios using JMeter.
- Perform deep-dive performance monitoring and analysis with Dynatrace.
- Define workload models and execute large-scale performance tests to ensure system stability, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze results and recommend optimizations.
Performance Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
- Core Performance Testing & Engineering Skills
- Proficiency in JMeter
- Expertise in Dynatrace
- Robust understanding of Non-Functional Requirements & Architecture
- Performance Tuning & Optimization
Performance Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Skilled in Splunk, Log Analysis & Datadog
- Exposure to SRE Skillsets
- Experience with Test Data & Virtualization
- Client-Side & End-User Experience
Performance Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 1-year contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion.
