About the Position

Goodrich Transport is looking for a reliable, organized, and safety-focused Shipper / Receiver to join our operations team in Surrey, BC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, and preparing freight and materials for shipment. This position requires solid attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced transportation and warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against shipping documents.
- Inspect and report discrepancies.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including checking, labeling, and securing freight.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment and safe work practices.
- Verify bills of lading, delivery receipts, packing slips, and other shipping documents.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Organize freight and materials within the warehouse/yard.
- Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, customers, and other team members.




- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure freight is properly identified, stored, and handled.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company safety policies and all applicable workplace safety regulations.
- Report damaged freight, shortages, overages, or other discrepancies to management.
- Perform other warehouse and shipping/receiving duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, logistics, or transportation is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn shipping/warehouse software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Experience in the trucking, container, or transportation industry is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.80-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 48.0 per week
