We’re looking for a Warehouse Receiver to join our team and take responsibility for receiving, organizing and maintaining the flow of incoming inventory within our Barrie warehouse.

As a Warehouse Receiver at National Nutrition, you’ll play an important role in keeping our inventory accurate and our warehouse operating efficiently.

You’ll be responsible for receiving incoming stock, confirming that products and quantities are correct, organizing inventory and ensuring products are moved efficiently from the receiving area to their proper locations.

A major part of this position is organization. You’ll help ensure that regular stock, alternate stock and overstock areas remain clearly organized, accessible and easy for the team to work with.

You’ll also help maintain a clean, safe and orderly warehouse by completing assigned warehouse cleaning and maintenance tasks.

What Your Day Could Look Like

You’ll spend your day:

- Receiving all incoming inventory and deliveries
- Unloading, opening and organizing incoming shipments
- Confirming products, quantities and shipment information accurately
- Identifying and reporting shortages, damages or discrepancies
- Ensuring received products are placed in the correct warehouse locations
- Organizing incoming stock so products can be put away efficiently
- Maintaining organized receiving and staging areas
- Keeping alternate stock and overstock locations organized and clearly identifiable
- Consolidating and reorganizing overstock areas as inventory levels change
- Ensuring inventory is stored safely and efficiently
- Rotating inventory and following product rotation procedures where required
- Keeping aisles, receiving areas and warehouse workspaces clean and free of unnecessary clutter
- Completing assigned warehouse cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Breaking down boxes and supporting the company’s recycling procedures
- Assisting with inventory counts when required
- Communicating receiving discrepancies or inventory concerns to management
- Working with purchasing,



inventory, retail and other warehouse team members as needed
- Helping maintain the high standards of organization and accuracy expected at National Nutrition
- Organizing and supporting our Recycling program.

This is an active position that includes regular standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching and lifting products or boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.

Accuracy Matters

Receiving is one of the first steps in maintaining accurate inventory.

The successful Warehouse Receiver understands that mistakes during receiving can affect inventory counts, purchasing, order fulfillment and ultimately our customers.

You will be expected to work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

This includes:

- Carefully checking incoming products
- Confirming quantities before inventory is put away
- Recognizing when something does not look correct
- Keeping different products and shipments clearly separated
- Reporting discrepancies rather than making assumptions
- Maintaining organized work areas so products can be located easily
- Completing receiving tasks thoroughly before moving on to the next shipment

Organization Is a Key Part of the Role

Our warehouse carries a large selection of nutritional supplements, and inventory levels can change quickly.

The Warehouse Receiver will play an important role in keeping alternate stock and overstock areas organized.

You will be expected to:

- Keep like products together
- Maintain clearly defined stock locations
- Prevent products from becoming mixed or misplaced
- Consolidate stock when appropriate
- Keep overstock areas accessible
- Identify poorly organized or overcrowded areas before they become a problem
- Regularly reorganize stock as inventory levels change
- Maintain an environment where another team member can quickly locate the product they need

Previous experience in receiving, inventory, stocking, warehousing, shipping or retail stock management would be an asset.
