Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to boiler systems, ammonia refrigeration, air compressors, and other mechanical/electrical systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures to minimize downtime and prevent reoccurrence.
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues related to pressure vessels, heating systems, and refrigeration systems as per TSSA standards.
- Interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and schematics to identify and solve faults.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and monitor system performance to proactively address anomalies.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot process-related problems affecting plant operations.
- Adjust system controls and perform minor programming corrections (PLC/HMI familiarity is an asset).
- Escalate unresolved issues to vendors or senior technicians while documenting all troubleshooting steps taken.
- Support energy optimization initiatives by identifying inefficiencies in plant utilities and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, fault reports, and troubleshooting documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
- Support the facility's preventative maintenance program
- Recommend improvements in energy usage, reliability, and system upgrades
Skills & Qualifications:
- 4th Class Power Engineer Certification (TSSA required)
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
- Hands-on experience with industrial refrigeration systems (ammonia preferred)
- Familiarity with boilers, air compressors, HVAC, and related utilities
- Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and regulations (TSSA, OHSA)
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to emergencies if needed
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
