Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler with certified forklift and overhead crane experience to join our dynamic logistics team that will lead to a permanent position. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, strong attention to safety protocols, and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment confidently. Duties

- Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Utilize overhead cranes for lifting and positioning heavy or bulky items with precision.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately picking, packing, and staging orders according to specifications.
- Maintain organized storage areas by stacking and arranging materials efficiently.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records in real-time.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely, following established ergonomic practices.




- Collaborate with team members to fulfill daily order picking requirements promptly.
- Support warehouse distribution processes by ensuring timely delivery of materials within the facility.

Experience

- Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, with valid certification.
- Mechanical knowledge sufficient to perform routine equipment inspections and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with overhead crane operation in a warehouse setting.
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments preferred.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and data entry accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking.
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting consistently and safely.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to material handling equipment operation.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
