Chevron / On the Run - Richmond, BC
Part-Time & Full-Time Positions Available

We are hiring dependable, energetic, and customer-focused team members for our five Chevron locations throughout Richmond.

Most current team members will begin in our Full Serve / Customer Service Attendant position. This allows you to learn our customers, fuel operations, Journie Rewards program, safety procedures, and service standards. Team members who demonstrate strong customer service, reliability, initiative, and the ability to handle additional responsibility may be offered the opportunity to cross-train as a cashier and work inside the store.

Previous customer service, retail, gas station, restaurant, or hospitality experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right people.

What You'll Do

As a Full Serve / Customer Service Attendant, you will:

- Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, professional service
- Assist customers with fueling and process payments at the pumps
- Learn and confidently explain the Journie Rewards program, including current promotions, discounts, rewards, and offers
- Actively promote Journie Rewards and help customers understand how to get the most value from the program
- Clean customer windshields and provide traditional full-service assistance
- Keep the pump islands, forecourt, garbage areas, entrances, and surrounding property clean and presentable
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store image
- Monitor the fuel court and immediately communicate spills, safety concerns, equipment problems, or unusual activity
- Follow all company procedures relating to fuel handling, spills, emergency response, safety, and customer service
- Assist the store team with additional cleaning and operational duties as required

Team members who successfully progress to cashier training will learn additional responsibilities including POS operation, cash handling,

lottery, tobacco compliance, food and beverage programs, merchandising, stocking, and store opening/closing procedures.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for people who are:

- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable approaching customers
- Dependable and punctual
- Honest and responsible
- Able to follow instructions and established procedures
- Willing to learn and accept coaching
- Comfortable promoting programs and offers to customers
- Able to communicate clearly in English with customers and coworkers
- Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team
- Able to stay productive without requiring constant supervision
- Willing to clean and help wherever needed rather than limiting themselves to one task
- Available for a consistent schedule

Customer service experience is an asset, but attitude, reliability, work ethic, and willingness to learn are equally important.

Physical & Working Requirements

This is an active position and is not primarily a desk or cashier role.

Applicants must be able to:

- Stand and walk for the majority of the shift
- Work outdoors throughout the year, including rain, heat, cold, and other changing weather conditions
- Move continuously between pumps and customer vehicles during busy periods
- Bend, reach, clean, and perform routine physical duties
- Safely lift and move typical convenience-store merchandise and supplies
- Remain attentive while working around vehicles and an active fuel forecourt

- Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance throughout the shift

Scheduling & Availability

We have both part-time and full-time opportunities available across our five Richmond Chevron locations.

Typical shifts are approximately 4 to 8 hours, depending on availability and operational needs.

- Growth Opportunities
- We prefer to develop strong employees from within.A typical progression may include:
- Full Serve / Customer Service Attendant → Cashier Cross-Training → Senior CSR / Shift Leadership → Supervisory or Management Opportunities

Advancement is based on demonstrated performance, reliability, customer service, initiative, and the ability to take on additional responsibility.

If you're looking for a workplace where you can start with the fundamentals, build your skills, and earn additional responsibility as you demonstrate your capabilities, we'd like to hear from you.

Please include your general availability with your application, including your earliest available start time, latest available end time, weekend availability, and approximate number of hours you are looking for each week.
