Experienced Floral Designer – Full-Time or Part-Time

Flowers Forever is looking for an experienced Floral Designer to join our team!

We’re looking for a talented designer with professional, hands-on floral design experience who can confidently create beautiful work while keeping up in a busy, fast-paced flower shop.

This is a creative, hands-on position that also involves working directly with our customers. We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping people, has great customer service skills and takes pride in both their designs and the experience they give our customers.

The position can be full-time or part-time, depending on your availability. Saturday availability is preferred, but not required. Wages will be dependent on skilled experience.

Duties

- Design and create fresh floral arrangements for everyday occasions, weddings, sympathy, holidays and special orders
- Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of design and quality
- Help customers select flowers, plants and gifts and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
- Take and process customer orders accurately
- Occasionally deliver floral arrangements to customers in the local area
- Prepare and process online orders
- Use our POS system and handle retail transactions
- Maintain clean, organized and attractive design and retail areas
- Help manage floral, container and supply inventory
- Assist with merchandising and seasonal displays




- Work closely with the rest of our team, especially during busy periods and holidays

What We’re Looking For

- Previous professional floral design experience is REQUIRED
- Ability to design quickly, confidently and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong eye for colour, balance and overall design
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, professional and comfortable helping customers in person
- Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple orders and priorities
- Dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license required, as occasional flower deliveries will be part of the position
- Saturday availability preferred
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting typical floral shop supplies
- Retail/POS experience is an asset
- Experience processing online orders is an asset
