AZ OTR Cross-Border Driver — Milton, ON

Better Together Group is hiring an experienced AZ OTR Cross-Border Driver for our Milton-based logistics client. If you're a safety-first professional who knows the ON/QC corridors and the US East Coast and Midwest lanes cold, we want steady miles, late-model equipment, and a dispatch team that respects your time. As an AZ OTR Cross-Border Driver, you'll operate a company-provided tractor-trailer on long-haul routes spanning Ontario, Quebec, the US East Coast, and the Midwest. You're the face of our company at every border crossing and delivery — your professionalism, punctuality, and compliance keep our customers happy and our reputation strong.
Salary range $24.00 - $26.00 (plus) based on experience.

What You'll Do

- Safely operate a company-provided AZ-class tractor-trailer on assigned OTR routes
- Handle cross-border runs (CAN/US), including customs paperwork and border compliance
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report mechanical concerns promptly
- Load, secure, and verify cargo to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery records, and inspection reports (electronic and paper)
- Comply with all HOS regulations,



ELD requirements, and FMCSA/MTO rules
- Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and road-ready at all times
- Communicate delays, incidents, and route changes to dispatch in real time

What You Bring

- Valid Ontario AZ Commercial Driver's License in good standing
- Clean CVOR and driver's abstract (minimum 3 years)
- Valid FAST card (or willingness to obtain) for expedited border crossing
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable OTR cross-border driving experience
- Strong working knowledge of ON/QC routes and US East Coast / Midwest lanes
- Comfortable with ELDs, HOS logging, and GPS/route-planning systems
- Clear criminal record check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Positive English communication skills — verbal and written
- Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification
- Experience with reefer, dry van, or flatbed operations
- Familiarity with Freightliner, Volvo, or Kenworth fleets
