Position Overview

We are currently hiring a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator / Shop Foreman to coordinate the day-to-day operations of our truck and trailer repair shop.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating fleet repairs and maintenance, shop workflow, mechanics, preventive maintenance schedules, parts and vendors, repair documentation, work orders, and invoices.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the maintenance process and ensure our trucks and trailers are safe, compliant, properly maintained, and returned to service efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate day-to-day truck and trailer repair shop operations
- Assign and prioritize repair and maintenance work for mechanics
- Coordinate truck and trailer repairs, servicing, inspections, and preventive maintenance
- Monitor repair progress and help minimize equipment downtime
- Schedule and track preventive maintenance for fleet equipment
- Review and manage repair invoices, parts invoices, estimates, and work orders
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records for trucks and trailers
- Coordinate with dealerships, external repair facilities, parts suppliers, and service vendors
- Order and track parts,



shop supplies, and maintenance requirements
- Monitor repair costs and identify recurring mechanical issues
- Coordinate breakdown repairs and ensure timely follow-up
- Work closely with Fleet, Safety, Dispatch, and Operations regarding equipment availability and maintenance status
- Ensure maintenance and repair activities follow company safety and compliance requirements
- Maintain an organized and efficient shop environment
- Support management with fleet maintenance planning and cost control

Qualifications & Requirements

- Red Seal Mechanic certification is required
- Robust experience with commercial trucks and trailers
- Previous experience in fleet maintenance, heavy-duty repair, or commercial transportation
- Experience as a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator, Shop Foreman, Maintenance Coordinator, or similar position is preferred
- Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer repairs, preventive maintenance, parts, and inspections
- Ability to coordinate mechanics, shop workload, and multiple repair priorities
- Experience reviewing repair invoices, work orders, estimates, and maintenance records
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with drivers, mechanics, vendors, and management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced transportation environment and take ownership of maintenance coordination
