Thompson Construction Group is currently looking for a Welder for their operations located in Fort McMurray.

Apprentice Welders will also be considered for the position. The applicant must have a minimum of one year of experience in stinger welding.

Responsibilities:

- Red Seal/Alberta Journeyman Welder with heavy equipment repair experience (preferably large Trucks/Dozers/Scrapers)
- Past experience should include; Ice lugging, Frame welding, Dump body repairs, Bore welding, Excavator stick/boom repairs
- Trained and experienced with Stick, MIG and large wire-feed welders, radiograph, Cooper-heat, Plasma cutter, Lance, overhead crane, etc.
- Fabrication experience would be an asset
- Able to work outside if necessary

Qualifications:

- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Journeyman Welder's License
- CSO/BSO/OSSA
