We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe operator to join our team in Hamilton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathes to produce high-precision components and have a strong background in CNC machining.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the loading and unloading of rail wheelsets using overhead cranes. As well as the operation of lathe to produce a finished product.
- Identify non-conforming products and communicate issues to the supervisor
- Follow work procedures demonstrating exceptional standards for quality
- Maintain a safe and orderly work environment
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures
- Meet daily production and quality targets

Qualifications:

- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position.
- Skilled in precision measuring using micrometers, verniers.
- Punctual
- Excellent eye/hand coordination
- Ability to multi-task and respond quickly to changes as required




- Ability to work an 8 hour shift (rotation of days (7am-3pm) and evenings (3pm-11pm))

Compensation & Benefits:

- Rate of pay $27.39 with overtime after 40 hrs worked.
- Schedule: Shift work (currently two shift operation - days 7am-3pm and afternoons 3pm to 11pm rotating weekly), overtime and weekends as required. Evening shifts are subject to a premium rate.
- $800 retention bonus paid after probation, subject to all applicable deductions.
