Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tiler/Renovator to join our dynamic team at Acorn Bath Works. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert tile installation and renovation work, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Your hands-on skills will help bring renovation projects to life, creating beautiful, durable surfaces that meet clients’ specifications. This position offers an exciting prospect to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial spaces, with a focus on precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Measure, cut, and install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces using hand tools and power tools with accuracy and care
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to ensure proper tile layout and installation
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or mortar for secure tile placement
- Perform flooring installation tasks including subfloor preparation and finishing to ensure a smooth, even surface
- Apply caulking around tiles and fixtures to seal gaps and prevent water infiltration, enhancing durability
- Conduct minor carpentry tasks related to renovation projects such as framing or repair work as needed




- Maintain a clean workspace by organizing tools, disposing of waste materials properly, and ensuring safety protocols are followed throughout each project

Qualifications

- Proven experience with tile laying, flooring installation, and general renovation work in construction or handyman roles
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, saws, drills, levels, and measuring devices
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and translate plans into precise on-site work
- Robust knowledge of construction practices including surface preparation and finishing techniques
- Familiarity with caulking procedures and materials used in waterproofing applications
- Prior experience in carpentry or general handyman tasks is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team
