About the Role

Ridall Pest Control is looking for a reliable and motivated Pest Control Technician to join our team servicing Vancouver International Airport (YVR).

This is a unique pest control position in a fast-paced airport environment. You will be responsible for inspecting, monitoring and treating pest activity throughout designated areas of the airport while maintaining detailed documentation and communicating with our YVR team and clients.

What Your Day Will Look Like

Your regular responsibilities will include:

- Inspecting designated airport areas for signs of rodent, insect and other pest activity
- Checking and servicing monitoring devices, traps and pest control equipment
- Responding to pest activity reported by airport staff and tenants
- Identifying conditions that may contribute to pest activity and recommending corrective actions
- Performing pest control treatments in accordance with company procedures and airport requirements
- Completing detailed electronic service reports after each inspection or treatment
- Communicating findings and urgent concerns to the Ridall management team
- Maintaining pest control equipment and ensuring assigned areas are serviced according to schedule
- Working throughout both public and secured areas of the airport
- Following all YVR safety, security and operational procedures

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working independently




- Detail-oriented with strong observation and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable walking and remaining active throughout the shift
- Able to communicate professionally with clients, airport employees and team members
- Comfortable working in a busy and highly regulated airport environment
- Able to use a mobile device for electronic reporting and communication
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Eligible to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for a YVR Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)

Previous pest control experience is an asset but is not required.

Training & Certification

Ridall will provide:

- Full pest control training
- Required pest control certification/licensing
- YVR-specific training and orientation
- Assistance with the RAIC application and airport security clearance process
- Ongoing on-the-job training and support

Employment will be conditional upon successfully completing the background/security screening required for the position and obtaining the necessary airport clearance.

Schedule

Sunday to Wednesday (subject to change)
6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

This is a consistent four-day workweek based at Vancouver International Airport.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $38,272.00-$41,600.00 per year
