North Vancouver | 30 hours/week | $29–$30/hour

Where the relationship matters.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely likes being with people, getting out into the community, and having fun.

This is a 1:1 role supporting a non-speaking autistic adult who enjoys movies, swimming, sports, exploring Vancouver, cars and construction sites, ferries, music and audiobooks, puzzles, eating out and trying new things.

The relationship matters most. We’re looking for someone energetic, curious, talkative and fun who will be actively engaged throughout the day, doing things together, having conversations, exploring interests and finding current experiences.

You also need to be someone who can think on your feet, problem-solve and take initiative. Plans change. Things don’t always go as expected. We need someone who can stay calm, figure things out and come up with a Plan B.

You must have previous experience working 1:1 with an adult with a disability, or a strong willingness to learn, and be comfortable supporting someone who communicates differently. You don’t need to know everything, but you do need to be willing to learn, presume competence, and understand that not speaking does not mean not understanding.





You’ll be a great fit if you:

- Have genuine 1:1 support experience
- Are energetic, active and genuinely enjoy having fun
- Take initiative and come up with things to do
- Are a confident, practical problem-solver
- Can swim and enjoy being physically active
- Are patient and comfortable allowing processing time
- Have a current BC Class 5 driver’s licence
- Live on or reasonably close to the North Shore
- Want to build a consistent, long-term relationship

Hours: 30 hours per week, approximately 6 hours per day, 5 days per week.

Pay: $29/hour to start, increasing to $30/hour, plus vacation pay and paid training. After three months, 10% in lieu of benefits.

This isn’t about filling someone’s day. It’s about supporting someone to have a good life and most importantly having fun together.

Pay: $29.00-$30.00 per hour
