Vector Geomatics is a locally owned and operated professional land surveying company with offices in British Columbia and Alberta providing a wide range of qualified land surveying services in the municipal, oil and gas, development, and public sector. We are currently looking for a motivated, dependable, and organized person with excellent communication skills to join our team.

Job Summary
Vector has an immediate full-time position available for a Field Survey Technologist (Party Chief) based in our Prince George office.

Responsibilities

- Lead and complete field work for municipal, engineering, topographic, and legal surveys according to best practices and procedures

- Meet with clients and project managers to understand daily tasks

- Perform field and office calculations when required

Skills

- Technical diploma in Geomatics or similar

- 2+ years of field experience is an asset

- Willing to work outdoors in varying conditions

- Ability to learn new technologies and contribute ideas





- Experience with Trimble GPS and robotic total stations is an asset

- Experience with terrestrial laser scanners and UAV operation is an asset

- Experience with legal surveys, construction layout, and engineering surveys

- Valid BC driver’s license

Vector offers competitive compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary range for this position is $28 to $38 per hour. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, with extended health, and RRSP.
