Accounts Payable & Bookkeeper
Job Type: Minimum 40 hours per week, five days per week, fully on-site at our office.
Work Arrangement: On-site
Salary: $48,000–$56,000 per year, negotiable based on experience

Redwood Hotels Group is a hotel ownership and management company overseeing a portfolio of properties operating under leading hospitality brands, including Hilton, Marriott, and IHG.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable & Bookkeeper to join our head-office accounting team. This position is primarily focused on accounts payable.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and within established deadlines.
- Review invoices for proper authorization, supporting documentation, account coding, and applicable taxes.
- Match invoices with purchase orders, approvals, and receiving documents.
- Enter invoices and payment information into QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Prepare and process cheque, electronic, and other vendor payments.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records for multiple hotel properties and companies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Respond to vendor and property-level inquiries regarding invoices and payment status.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and ensure payments are processed by their due dates.
- Review employee expense reports and verify supporting receipts and approvals.
- Assist with intercompany transactions and account reconciliations.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical records for audit purposes.
- Assist with year-end reporting and provide documents requested by auditors.
- Communicate with hotel managers and department heads to obtain missing invoices, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Record routine financial transactions in QuickBooks and other accounting systems.
- Assist with bank and credit-card reconciliations.
- Maintain general ledger records and supporting schedules.
- Assist with journal entries, month-end closing, and account reconciliations.
- Work with different accounting software used across multiple hotel properties.
- Support the accounting department with financial reporting and other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Two to three years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience using QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Ability to learn and work efficiently with multiple accounting systems.
- Familiarity with Canadian accounting practices in the Canadian business setting is preferred.
- Experience processing accounts payable for multiple companies or locations is an asset.
- Hospitality or hotel accounting experience is an asset.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Good understanding of invoice processing, account coding, reconciliations, and sales taxes.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of work and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently as well as part of a team.
Pay: $48,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
