The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time, temporary (until October 29, 2027) Advanced Practice Clinical Leader in the Psychosis Recovery and Treatment (PRT). Reporting to the Director of Adult Inpatient Services and PRT Outpatient Services as an Advanced Practice Clinical Leader you will support point-of-care staff in the implementation and evaluation of best practices in the assessment, treatment and recovery of patients with acute psychiatric illnesses and concurrent substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the services’ Advanced Practice Clinical Leader team to support models of care. You will role model clinical practice in complex care situations; engage in direct care activities for complex and high risk clients; support interprofessional collaborative care, academic and research opportunities; promote the implementation and audit of documentation standards; participate in or facilitate quality improvement projects and quality reviews focusing on patient safety; and supervise graduate students. Together with operational and other professional practice leaders, you will participate in program planning and evaluation; support integrated care pathways to enhance patient outcomes; play an active role on internal and external committees; and serve as a clinical resource in service-level and organizational level strategic planning activities for both inpatient and outpatient services. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, clinical research integration and complies with all applicable and regulatory requirements. This position provides support to clinical teams at the Queen Street site and in outpatient settings in the community.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a Master's Degree in nursing and will be a member of good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.



In addition 5 years’ experience in mental health and addiction treatment is required. Applicants must demonstrate an understanding of the complex psychiatric and physical health needs of this clinical population. Additional qualifications such as CNA certification in psychiatric/mental health, or other relevant certification is an asset. Eligibility for cross-appointment at the University of Toronto is also required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to provide professional practice leadership; the ability to challenge and motivate others; a commitment to enhancing academic and research endeavours; experience in leading change and the ability to provide advanced clinical care in a culturally diverse setting. Previous advanced practice/administrative/academic scholarship is an asset. The candidate will also have excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, teaching and computer skills. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is considered an asset. Compensation & Benefits:

- Salary is competitive and based on experience, with a hiring range of $112,495.94 – $140,619.93 per year.
- Employees in this role may progress within the full pay range of $112,495.94 – $168,743.91 per year
