We are seeking a caring, energetic, and qualified AMI-trained Montessori Teacher to work with children in our Toddler and Preschool programs.

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated AMI-Trained Childcare Montessori Teacher to join our vibrant toddler and preschool programs. Duties

- Implement Montessori-based curriculum tailored for toddlers and preschoolers, encouraging exploration and hands-on learning
- Observe and assess each child's developmental progress, adjusting activities to meet individual needs
- Foster a safe, welcoming classroom environment that promotes independence, respect, and social-emotional growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan engaging activities that support cognitive, motor, language, and social skills
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Maintain organized classroom records, including lesson plans, attendance logs, and developmental assessments
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care





Required Qualifications

- AMI-recognized Montessori diploma or certification.
- Previous experience working with toddler or preschool-aged children.
- Strong understanding of AMI Montessori philosophy, materials, and classroom practices.
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate programming.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification, or willingness to obtain it before beginning employment.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Required health and immunization documentation in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Reliable, punctual, patient, and genuinely passionate about working with young children.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

- Registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE).
- Experience working in a licensed childcare centre in Ontario.
- Familiarity with Ontario’s Child Care and Early Years Act, How Does Learning Happen?, and Ministry of Education licensing requirements.
