Temporary position of 12 months.
The incumbent acts as a Senior Analyst in activities related to the calculation of the IFRS 9 provision. He/she contributes to the deployment and maintenance of tools used for calculating the IFRS 9 provision.
He/she also participate in the design and implementation of reports to improve monitoring and analysis of risks related to the IFRS 9 provision.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the production of provision calculations, interpret data, explain variances, and assess implications.
- Advise and support internal clients within their area of expertise.
- Maintain effective communication with various stakeholders involved in the section’s activities.
- Stay up to date with current legislation, Bank policies, programs, and procedures.
- Perform any other related or general tasks requested by their supervisor or required by the role.
- Ensure the development and contribute to the deployment of dashboards to monitor the performance of the Bank’s credit portfolios.
- Analyze performance indicators of the Bank’s credit portfolio.
- Identify undesirable loss trends and propose necessary changes or improvements to strategies and operational models.
- Produce analyses, interpret data, explain variances, and assess implications for the Bank’s results.
- Develop analytical or segmentation projects that study credit risk behavior of client and product cohorts, trends, and business market requirements.
Qualifications
- University degree in data science and business analytics, mathematics, physics, statistics, actuarial science, engineering, econometrics, finance, or any related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience withSAS modulesin risk management.
Specific Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of database management usingSQLand statistical tools such asSAS (EG and EM).
- Ability to influence and innovate in proposed solutions.
- Ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas.
- Knowledge of the banking industry, credit products in Canada, and credit risk management tools.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Bilingual* (French and English).
- Team-oriented and collaborative.
- Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages
